Immersive Visualization System


The Immersive Visualization System is a network of "commodity" computers that can be used to generate and present high-resolution 2D or 3D graphics.

The photograph on the left shows some of the system units and the one below shows the back of the LCD displays and the mounting system.

The system was designed and implemented by JMU undergraduate students and continues to be maintained by undergraduates. It is used by faculty and students in a wide variety of disciplines.

The applications page illustrates several of the ways the the system is being used.
